Tampa Davis Island, Four Green Fields Who would have thought with cool weather, damp
roads and sidewalks that it would have ended up being a great day for skating.
Not many, but Deb D. and Roy braved the trip over the bay and skated Bayshore.
With such questionable weather and skating conditions they initially opted for
breakfast at First Watch in downtown Tampa. They recommend it for future Tampa
skates. Roy gave the food and service a "Rob's 8.5" rating. It was excellent
with good food along with friendly and fast service. Plus, they have Eggs
Benedict. After breakfast they skated Bayshore, from the Pirates Ship to Gandy
Blvd. There was a little wind on the return trip but by the end of the skate it
was starting to warm nicely. Those who missed due to ski trips, walking
fundraisers or sleeping in can look forward to the next Tampa skate and brunch.
First Watch awaits. A Very Special Thanks and a Tip of the Helmet to Deb Dietrich for this submission in the absence of Bruce.
