Curlew Rd & Alt 19 on the Trail
It was another beautiful day in Paradise for the 15 skaters who
headed north on the Pinellas Trail from Curlew Road in Dunedin. There was a
strong wind at first but the return trip had only a slight breeze. At one point
a skater passed a biker who announced they were going 10 mph. Half the group was
further ahead and the other half were behind so all levels enjoyed the trail.
There were a number of new faces joining the group.
Welcome . . . Jeanine's nephew Justin (welcome back), Jeanine's neighbor Eric,
Mick (from the Monday night skate), Vivian has returned to join us again,
welcome back.
Brunch at Benedicts received a Rob's rating of 9.5 out of 10 and the skaters for
the most part agreed. We were seated right away, service was prompt and friendly
and the food portions were large. We ran into a couple from Janice's skate
clinic, and they joined us for brunch. Vicke (Janice first met her at the Duluth
Inline Race) and Tim from Indiana who are seasonal visitors.
Special Thanks goes to Janice for
taking the pictures and for the skate report. She was happy to report on the
successful skate clinic last week.
Thanks Deb D. for YOUR input to this report!!
The skate clinic was a tremendous success!! The rain did not dampen our spirits
at all!! Eddy is an incredible teacher, skater and promotor of inline skating.
My hope is to get him back here for another clinic in 2006!!
See you next Sunday......Straub Park....more info to follow!
