Taylor Park
Another beautiful day in Paradise. It appeared
the wind was coming mostly from the East so we couldn't make up our minds to go
North or South on the Pinellas Trail. Roy then suggested we do the neighborhoods
and go by the Belleview Biltmore as it's future is a little shaky. Deb D. was
against a neighborhood blade but later (as usual) she agreed it was fun. We took
group pictures at Taylor Park and three other places on the blade. The last and
most significant was at the Belleview Biltmore. We did about 12 miles on the
blade.
Several people (the women) had listened to
Bay News 9 Meteorologist,
Josh Linker announce the temperature forecast for Taylor Park and dressed
accordingly. Thanks Josh. We normally depend on Channel 9 for our weather
forecasts but today was special.
Brunch was held at The Gathering as planned. Even with reservations it took us
10-15 minutes to get in but Brunch came shortly after our orders were taken. Our
Social Hour/Brunch passed quickly. Rob rated the Brunch a 9 out of a possible
10. My Spanish Omelette was also a 9 and they didn't even charge me for the
extra Salsa Sauce ordered.
Deborah B. held a Pool Party following Brunch. Several bladers had to skip the
Pool Party as it was Mother's Day. I managed to take one picture at the Pool
Party and then headed home to pamper my wife. The Pool Party was just warming up
as I left and it looked like all were going to have a pleasant afternoon in the
sun by the pool.
Happy Mother's Day to all.
