Upper Tampa Bay Trail

Well we gambled and won again. Vivian, who lives near the Upper Tampa Bay Trail, called me at 7 AM today. She said, “The streets were dry at her place in the open but were damp under the trees.” The weather forecast was 40% chance of rain this morning. I flipped a coin and it said to SKATE. Out went the email that said we were skating. As I drove up 49th Street, the streets were wet until I crossed the Tampa Bay Bridge. After that they were dry for a while and then wet for a while. I wondered what torture those people that showed up would conjure up for me. Turning into our meeting place on the Tampa Bay Trail, I was thankfully greeted with a basically dry parking lot. The Trail was dry as far as I could see. Wheeeeew!!!! We headed south first and then went north. We took the spur to the right and came back. About 8 miles. There were a few damp spots under trees but nothing seriously wet. Sandy and Nando joined us again. Welcome back Sandy and Nando. Vivian and Gary joined us after an absence. Welcome back Vivian and Gary. I wish to also thank Vivian for being our expert Upper Tampa Bay Trail weather person.

We brunched at Grama Grippos as planned except now it is named, Florito’s Place. There breakfast menu was much smaller than before but everyone seemed to find something to eat. They had omelets, eggs Benedict, Bananas Foster French Toast, Spicy Continental Frittatas and a fair selection of other things. Vivian stopped by her house and brought her daughter, Kristina. Charles also joined us for Brunch. Rob rated his Brunch a 9. I didn’t hear any other comments better or worse.
