Withlacoochee State Trail

It was a nice-crisp day today. Rob H. & Gerald looked a little cold as they rode their motorcycles into the parking lot at the Withlacoochee State Trail. The sun was shinning but we had that cool breeze out of the NorthWest. Crazy Rob joined us for the second time this year. Welcome back Rob. Most everyone wore a sweat shirt on the skate going north to the Istachatta General Store and just a tee shirt coming back South. Well Crazy Rob didn’t wear even a shirt on the way back. We all did the 20 + mile round trip and pretty much all stayed together. Deb B. did have to show us her reserve and skated ahead on the way back. When we got back, everyone talked about how much they had enjoyed the skate. The predicted cold and windy conditions didn’t really pan out at Withlacoochee. It even appears it was warmer there in the late morning then it was in St. Pete. Those that didn’t make it, missed a great skate.

We Brunched at Denny’s as planned. However Denny’s fell a few notches on our restaurant list. It took us 1 ½ hours to get in, served and eat. The food was good but the long wait was a bit long. Rob rated his Brunch an 8.

Having our Withlacoochee Skate just before the Disney skate didn’t seem to work out. We only had one skater, Deb B., that is going to skate Disney next week.

Oh yes, the group picture shows both the Withlacoochee Group and the Upper Tampa Bay Group. The lower group being the Upper Tampa Bay Group.
