Dolphin Village

Another Beautiful day in Paradise; Clear skies and about 75 degrees. We skated the “fingers” route bladed on Saturday by Sandy, Birgit and myself. Dee used his GPS and indicated we did 9.6 miles at an average speed of 9 mph. Just about right. We had two new bladers; Tammy C and Janet R. Welcome Tammy and Janet. Karen S and Karen P skated with us again. Mats joined us again after missing for a while. Welcome back Karen S, Karen P and Mats.

We Brunched at a restaurant and sports bar, Ricky T’s, I found on Saturday. We should have guessed how good it was going to be by noting the place was 2/3 empty. We didn’t get our water until halfway through Brunch and the coffee came 10 minutes before we left. I requested catsup 4 times and finally had to eat my hash browns plain. The restaurant was fairly dark so you could see the wall of TVs next to us. We had to turn down the volumes so we could hear ourselves talk. One comment afterwards, “We hope it will make a better Sports Bar than it is a restaurant. Even though the food wasn’t that bad, our overall rating was between a 1.5 and a 2 out of 10.

We also found ourselves at Brunch with three ladies named Karen/Karin. We tried to give them nicknames but ran out of time. A task for another day.

We also missed all our Sunday Bladers doing the Squiggy Race today. Hope everyone won first place.
