Clearwater Beach, Mother's Day

Another Beautiful day in Paradise. There was some concern earlier with smoke in the air but as you can see from the group picture the sky is pretty blue and the buildings in the background at least a mile away are very clear. Janice and Karin picked out the picture spot and they did a good job as you can also see. We had quite a few people do the Clearwater Bridge today. However several got to the top and when they looked down, they had some concerns. All manage safely though. The picture of the Clearwater Bridge does show some haze. We had some absentee skaters show today: Teresa and Chris, Danny, a new face Stan, Kirk and Bob. Welcome all.

Brunch was a different story. We arrived at the Marina Restaurant when it was busy and it looked very small. Janice decided to get reservations at Perkins located on the NE corner of Hwy 19 and Hwy 60 and all left except for 3 guys ready to eat. Within 10 minutes 3 tables became vacant and I believe they could have served all within 15 minutes. However the existing customers did look quite contented and ready to stay for awhile. Anyway the Brunch at both the Marina Restaurant and Perkins was rated about 8.5 to 9. Several people have promised to search out a closer and more suitable Brunch restaurant for our next Clearwater skate.
