Another
Beautiful Day in Paradise. Today the weather was perfect
for blading. At the beginning with just a tee shirt it
was a little cool but once you got going it was perfect.
Dee indicated we did a little less than 20 miles and Roy
had a little over 20 miles.
We'll call it a 20 mile skate.
It was delightful and refreshing for the whole 20 miles.
Dee indicated we averaged 10 MPH when we were skating.
We did stop to regroup several times.
Several of us did
Damon's Landing and naturally had
to take a picture with the boats as a background. Just
East of 58th Street and off to the North in the Cometary,
was the resident Eagle
perched high in the pine trees. Got
this call from Deb B and Stan. Deb had not updated her
list of the blades and they were at Starkey Wilderness
Park. She reported later they had a great skate and did
25 miles. Brenda &
Terry joined us again.
Mark Z joined us
after being absent for a couple of years.
Glennis was back
from her trips to Canada. It looks like
Pete K. will be
joining us regularly. It was
good to see Linda S
back again. Welcome new and
absentee skaters.
We Brunched at Doe Does as planned. We got right in and seated at 3 tables. Doe Does was a little hectic as usual but the food was good and the company enjoyable. It was interesting to note. Terry and Brenda, the last ones in, were the first to be served. Janice rated her Brunch a 9.5 and Rob his a 9. We'll give them a 9.3
