Ft. Desoto East Beach

Another Beautiful Day in Paradise. It looked like it had rained during the night as the pavement was pretty damp in lots of places. However not to wet to skate. We planned to do East Beach and then go North past the Boat Ramp & Toll Booth to the first big subdivision on the West side and that's what we did. The Trail is all new and wonderfully smooth from the Bridge to the subdivision. Roy indicated we did 12 miles. Craig came again. Pat, Roc, Mary Beth, Joe & Willi joined us after an absence. Welcome back bladers. The recently ordered Tee Shirts were ready and passed out to those that had ordered them.

We Brunched at Skidders as planned. Both the Frog Pond and a new place Beverly's wouldn't take reservations and had a wait to get seated so we just thought we would give Skidders a try again. Skidders had a beautiful outside table set up for 20 people when we got there. It was like we had our own separate room all ready for us. We had a very special waitress that took our orders and did not write a thing down. All the food received was exactly as orderd. Amazing!!!! Unfortunately their computer was having problems and we had to wait longer than normal for our checks. Leo joined us for lunch. Welcome Leo. Rob rated the overall lunch ambiance as a 9.5 but the food as just an 8 (as usual for Skidders).
