The Miami Great E-Skate 04

On the weekend of Feb 8 most of the active Sunday Bladers were in Miami at the Great EsSkate. This was an impressive event with about 350 bladers from all over the US attending. An extremely well organized event. Our thanks go out to those hard working people putting on the event. We had 15 Sunday Bladers there enjoying the festivities and rollerblading outings. (Unfortunately this left no one locally to take pictures of our Safety Harbor Blade.)

There were about 70 miles of blading opportunities at the Great EsSkate during the weekend spread over 5 blading activities. Four of the blades were geared to the average blader with plenty of rest stops and free drinks provided. All were police escorted with no traffic stops to the bladers. An impressive event which all semi-serious bladers should attend at least once.

Unfortunately our designated photographer stumbled and crashed and all photos there afterwards were light green spooky pictures. However many other cameras were in action and eventually a collage of pictures will be assembled and posted. As many other photographers were at hand, several other web sites of pictures will also be available shortly and subsequently posted.
