Skyway Access
Trail
Another
Beautiful Day in Paradise. We had fairly clear blue skies, temperatures
in the 80s and a slight SE breeze. Bladers/Bicyclers (back
row left) Rob H, Andrew F, Paula C, Linda C, Dee T, Dan C, Steve G, Pete &
Olivia K, Wilma & Jim F, (front row left) Carol J, Jeff B and Bruce M. Welcome
all. Our plans were to do the Skyway Access Trail so we headed towards
31st street. We cut through the new housing development by the Marina and headed
up the trail. We encountered a lot of debris on the trail in several places as
it has been storming and no one had cleaned off the trail. At the junction of
the Pinellas Trail, the bladers decided to turn around and the bicyclers decided
to continue on to the 34th St overpass. The bladers ended
up doing about a 12 mile round trip and the bicyclers did 13.5 miles. We had 2
bladers and 12 bicyclers.
We decided to do Skyway Jacks for Brunch. Jeff got
there first and put in our reservation. Most every one else arrived shortly and
we got a group seated in a booth and a group at a table. Service was good, the
food was great (especially the cat fish) and we got out within about 45 minutes.
We'll give Skyway Jacks an 8.5.
