Courtney Campbell Causeway

Another Beautiful Day in Paradise. Well ......... we had temperatures in the 50s, a 15 mph NE wind but fortunately clear blue skies. If it had been cloudy we would have frozen to death. Thank you for the sunshine. Bladers/Bicyclers (from the left) Bruce M, Steve G, Dimitri F, Roy H, Ginnie S, Rick P and Dorey Anne came. Dee missed the group picture. Welcome all. We were trying today to find a new place to start from and we did. Dee parked on the East end of the causeway in the Ben T Davis Beach parking lot. He only had to pay 50 cents an hour to park there. The parking area has nice restrooms. We decided we would start at the Ben T Davis Beach parking lot from now on to do the Courtney Campbell Causeway. We did our usual route today but had people do from 8 to 12.2 miles for their round trip. There were 2 bladers and 7 bicyclers. This last week we had Darlene B, Dee T, Herb E, Jeff B, John L, Roger T, Roy H, Sam T, Steve G, Donna Sue and George O sign up for the 2016 Sponsorship. We Brunched at the I Hop as planned. Steve G went ahead and made reservations for us so we only had to wait about 5 minutes to get in and seated. The hardest part was parking. Some of us had to park about 2 blocks away after searching for a place to park. Service was pretty good and they gave us pots of coffee which was very nice. However the food wasn't very good. We had ratings from 8.5 to a little over 9. We gave I Hop a rating of 8.9. We'll be looking for a new place to Brunch next time.
