Skyway Access
Trail
Another
Beautiful Sunday in Paradise. Well.... it was a little damp with a few
puddles of water here and there. The temperature was in the low 70s, with cloudy
skies and a NW breeze. Bicyclers (back row left) Jim F, Dorey Anne, Diana S, Rob
H, Bill S, Steve G, Dimitri F, Carol J, Dan C, Donna Sue & John L, (front row
left) Wilma F, Bruce M, Jeff B and Linda C. Welcome all. As we started at the
Publix parking lot we had to figure out how to get 10 miles or so in for our
biking. As you may be able to tell, the wet weather scared
away all the Bladers and we had 15 bicyclers. Jeff B took care of where
to go and led us off to Gulfport. On the Skyway Access Trail at 22nd Ave Jeff
led us West on 22nd Ave to 46th St, down 46th St to 26th Ave S, to 49th St, to
29th Ave S to Clam Bayou. He led us East around Clam Bayou past the Boca Ciega
Yacht Club to the end. There we took another group picture on a dock in the Bay.
Off we went again winding around the roads past O' Maddy's to Beach Blvd and
North to the Pinellas Trail. There we went East until we came to the Skyway
Access Trail and went South back to the Publix Parking lot. A nice fun and
interesting bike ride of 13 miles. Thanks Jeff. Dimitri F renewed his
Sponsorship today. Thanks Dimitri for the website and functions support.
We Brunched at Skyway Jacks as planned. Skyway
Jacks was very busy and the lady ushering people in held us back until they had
a table open for 9 people. This took 30 minutes. Finally we got seated and
waited on and the coffee flowed freely. Over all it took us 1 hr and 20 minutes
to get in and out. Most of the food was excellent (a 10) as usual but at least
one order was not so good and only rated about an 8.
However since most of the people loved their Brunch we'll give Skyway Jacks a
9.6.
