Curlew Road and The Trail

We had another Beautiful Sunday in Paradise. We started Blading/Bicycling in the high 70's, with mostly clear blue skies and a little NE breeze. Bladers/Bicyclers (left) Rob H, Steve G, Bruce M, Ginnie S & Rick P, Dee T and Roy H and Charles C who took the picture came. Welcome all. Mitch & Anne L also came but missed the group picture. We talked about doing Honey Moon Island and going South but we decided to head North and play it by ear. At Klosterman Rd we decided to head back. As we came South we decided to do Wall Springs Park and take a picture on one of the piers. Again proceeding South we approached the Crystal Beach area and we decided to go West on Oceanview Ave. Oceanview Ave lead us into the Indian Bluff Island which reminded us a lot of the beautiful homes in Snell Island. Returning to the Pinellas Trail we continued South to Curlew Road where started. Most of the group did a 15 mile round trip and the rest did about a 10 mile round trip. We had 3 Bladers and 7 Bicyclers.

We tried Brunching at Benedicts but they had a kitchen help problem and we were directed to the Covered Bridge restaurant about 0.6 miles South on Alt 19. We all managed to find the Covered Bridge restaurant and got seated at two tables close together. Service was a little slow but the food was exceptional. One table gave a food rating of 10 and the other a 9.5. We'll give the Covered Bridge restaurant a 9.8.
