The Miami Great E-Skate 07

The Tampa Bay Area had another big turn out at the ‘07 Miami Great EsSkate. I counted about 26 people. North Beach worked out fine but South Beach as it will be at in ‘08 is a much better location. However we had a grand time as usual. A lot of people arrived early on Friday and we enjoyed the beautiful beach.

Skating Friday night was enjoyable and exciting as you get the first feel of a real police escort. The sirens are blaring and the lights are flashing and we are skating in the middle of it all. Unbelievable!!!!! Darry had a little wine tasting party in his room prior to the Friday night Banquet. The Banquet had great food, Miami Beach style entertainment and the partying went on into the wee hours.

Skating on Saturday can be a challenge as we usually do 20-25 miles but with many rest stops and lots of free refreshments, all did fine. After the Saturday skate we naturally had a big picnic and they gave out lots of prizes. Saturday night we all got dressed up, well sort of, stopped for a drink at the Delano Hotel and ate at Sushi Siam’s. The partying again continued into the wee hours.

Sunday??????????? Somehow we all got home safely. Thanks go out to the Miami Great EsSkate coordinators. They did a fabulous job as always.
